Description

Essex Westford School District (EWSD) has opportunities for full-time Behavioral Interventionists to become part of our invaluable special education team. The role of a BI is to provide one-on-one behavioral support through Applied Behavior Analysis. 

 

Pay: $22.25+ based on experience

On-the-job training is provided to ensure our BIs feel confident and prepared in their roles, including:

 

  • Receive comprehensive training in ABA principles and practices, including discrete trial instruction, prompt hierarchies, social skill development, naturalistic teaching techniques, prevention and management of challenging behaviors, reinforcement procedures, and trauma-informed care.
  • Opportunities for initial training and ongoing supervision toward obtaining RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification.
  • Foster growth through mentorship and collaboration with experienced professionals.
  • Additionally, professional development funds are provided to expand your knowledge and grow your career!

 

 

Primary job duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Adapt classroom materials and methods to meet student needs under guidance from educators and specialists.
  • Foster social interaction and inclusivity among students in regular school settings.
  • Accompanied students on community activities and field trips.
  • Maintain records of student data and assist in administrative tasks.
  • Keep detailed records of student progress using various assessment tools.
  • Attend team meetings to develop student plans and discuss needs.
  • Attend training sessions and professional development activities as required.
